AIMS AND SCOPE
The International Conference on Product-Focused Software Process Improvement (PROFES) is one of the leading international forums for software engineering professionals to present and discuss innovation, trends, experiences, and challenges in the field of software process and product quality improvement.
The PROFES 2025 Research Track invites the submission of high-quality full papers presenting original research, empirical studies, industrial experiences, and case reports related to software development processes and their impact on software product quality.

We welcome contributions on (but not limited to) the following topics:
– Process modeling, management, assessment, and improvement
– Value- and feedback-driven software development, agile and lean methods and processes

– Software analytics and empirical research with actionable insights on software products and processes

– Continuous deployment and release planning

– Project management techniques, including global and/or distributed development
– Software engineering processes for AI-enabled systems, including MLOps
– AI and data-driven techniques for software process improvement (AI4SE)
– Methods for developing cloud-based systems and services, including monolithic to cloud-native migration
– Software development for Cyber-Physical Systems
– Processes and methods for COTS and open-source development
– Service engineering processes and software business models
