Dear Members,

Applications are now open for the 2025 Summer School on Informatics Education Research (SCHIER).

SCHIER is the only summer school in Europe exclusively focused on research in Informatics Education, a growing and vital field recognised by the EU Council.

When: 8–12 September 2025
Where: UCLouvain, Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium
Who should attend: PhD students, postdocs, and researchers with an interest in Informatics Education Research

Building on the success of its inaugural edition last year, SCHIER 2025 offers a week of:

• Expert-led lectures and interactive sessions on key topics and methodologies.
• Collaborative discussions on emerging research challenges.
• Networking opportunities that foster meaningful, long-term collaboration and advancement.

Applications are now open, limited to 40 participants on a first-come, first-served basis. Basic registration fees are as follows:

• EUR 350 for Participants from IE member institutes
• EUR 400 for other participants
