The HPCMS Special Session

The development of models that allow computers to simulate the evolution of artificial and natural systems is central to advancing knowledge across scientific and engineering disciplines.

In recent decades, growing computational power has greatly expanded the scope of such methodologies, enabling their application in research, industry, and the quantitative study of complex systems. This progress has fostered both the extensive use of numerical methods for solving differential equation systems (e.g., FEM, FDM, PIC) and the exploration of alternative paradigms such as Cellular Automata, Genetic Algorithms, Neural Networks, and Swarm Intelligence.

The HPCMS Special Session, now in its thirteenth edition at PDP, aims to serve as a platform for a multidisciplinary community of scholars, researchers, developers, educators, practitioners, and experts from leading universities, institutions, agencies, and companies in Computational Science.

The session promotes the exchange of perspectives on trends, challenges, and state-of-the-art advances in computational problems and high-performance computing, with applications spanning engineering, physics, chemistry, biology, geology, medicine, ecology, sociology, traffic control, economics, and beyond.

PAPER SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Papers report original, unpublished work and are reviewed double-blind. The review process is double-blind and all papers need to be “best-effort” anonymized. We strongly encourage making code and data available anonymously (e.g., in an anonymous GitHub repository via Anonymous GitHub or in a Dropbox folder).

Format
Full papers: up to 8 pages.

Review
Remove author names, affiliations, and identifying acknowledgements from the manuscript prior to submission.

Publication
Accepted papers are published through IEEE CPS and submitted for indexing in Scopus and other major services.

Registration
At least one author of each accepted paper must register with a regular registration and present the paper at the conference.

Formatting
All submissions must follow the IEEE Conference Proceedings Format (double-column, 10pt size fonts). LaTeX and Word templates for the IEEE conference format.
