The 26th International Conference on Product-Focused Software Process Improvement (PROFES 2025) invites proposals for high-quality workshops to be held in conjunction with the main conference in Salerno, Italy, from December 1 to 3, 2025.
PROFES is a premier venue for discussing and advancing process improvement and software engineering practices. The workshops provide a platform for interactive discussions, knowledge exchange, and community building on emerging research topics and industry-relevant challenges.
*Workshops
Workshops are expected to be in tune with the topics of interest of the conference. Workshop proposals on interesting topics related to ongoing research or industrial projects are welcome. Workshops are either half or full day.
Please use the following format for workshop proposals.
– Title (including acronym or short title).
– Name, biography, and contact information for all workshop organisers.
– Abstract (max. 200 words), suitable for publication on the conference website and inclusion in conference registration materials.
– Description, to be used for evaluation, including theme, goals, relevance (especially to the PROFES community), structure of workshop (including intended timeframe and tentative agenda), paper format (including the page limits), and information about previous editions (if any).
– Target audience and expected number of participants (minimum and maximum).
– Paper selection procedure.
– Special requirements, such as facilities, equipment, and materials, if applicable.
Proposals should not exceed 6 pages.
* Important Dates (Workshops)
– Workshop proposal submission: April 8th
– Workshop proposal notification: April 19th
– Workshop paper submission: August 9th
– Workshop paper notifications: September 9th
– Workshop paper camera-ready: no later than Sep 23rd (see workshop web-page)
– Workshop day: December 1st
Tutorials
Tutorials are expected to be in tune with the topics of interest of the conference. Tutorial proposals on interesting topics related to ongoing research or industrial projects are welcome. Tutorials are either half or full day.
Please use the following format for tutorial proposals.
– Title (including optional short title).
– Name, biography, and contact information of tutorial instructor(s).
– Abstract (max. 200 words), suitable for publication on the conference website and inclusion in conference registration materials.
– Description, to be used for evaluation, including covered topics, learning objectives, and tutorial format (including intended timeframe and tentative agenda).
– Target audience, prerequisites, and expected number of participants (minimum and maximum).
– Special requirements, such as facilities, equipment, and materials, if applicable.
The maximum length of tutorial paper is 6 pages.
